This study aims to analyze the organizational and care-related changes required for the implementation of a management model based on validated clinical protocols and the development of the patient journey, based on the experience of a pilot project focused on restructuring the request flow for oral and maxillofacial procedures within a health plan operator. Drawing on the theoretical foundations of Value-Based Health Care (VBHC), the study discusses strategies for transforming healthcare delivery, with an emphasis on value generation, system sustainability, and patient-centered care.
