The Brazilian Journal of Health Auditing (JBAS) is an open-access scientific journal with continuous publication, dedicated to disseminating original, unpublished knowledge of academic relevance in the fields of health auditing, health management, public policies, quality of care, and related areas.

The journal aims to promote scientific and technical advancement through the publication of rigorous research that contributes to improving health systems, governance, service evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.

JBAS publishes exclusively scientific works submitted to peer review, including:

  • Original research articles;

  • Systematic and integrative reviews;

  • Case studies with methodological rigor;

  • Technical reports with scientific grounding.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, conducted by at least two independent reviewers, ensuring the quality, impartiality, and scientific integrity of the publications.

The journal’s target audience includes researchers, faculty members, healthcare professionals, managers, auditors, public policy makers, and others interested in scientific production related to health auditing and management.

The journal adopts an immediate open-access model, allowing free access to all its content, with no submission, review, or publication fees.
